Read a cube arrangement by columns
A depth perception question shows a three-dimensional pile using visible edges. Some cubes support visible cubes but cannot be seen directly. Count the height of each column and compare it with the visible surfaces before choosing an answer.
Work row by row and remember that a visible top face does not show every cube beneath it. A consistent counting method reduces double counting.
Use varied diagrams
Practise arrangements with different heights and footprints so you learn the spatial rule rather than memorising one image. Timed sets are most useful after the column-counting method feels natural.
